Kids Clubhouse

Introducing: Kids Clubhouse 2021!

NMCDC is doing things a little differently in the summer of 2021 and we’re excited to announce our new youth program, Kids Clubhouse! Kids Clubhouse is a free neighborhood open meal site and “drop-in” for young people aged 6+ that takes place in different locations around the Northside and Westside neighborhoods.

At Kids Clubhouse, kids can get a meal, meet friends, learn some cool things, and have fun!

Meeting Families Where They’re At!

Our goal is to meet young people and families where they’re at, so we are holding programs in areas that have historically lacked adequate and affordable opportunities for kids to play, eat, and have fun near their homes. Through this program, we strive to increase access to positive adult supervision, healthy food, and play for kids who need it most. Our Kids Clubhouse Mentors bring meals, snacks, games, and activities for any kid that wants to come by during the open hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the “drop-in” structure work?

Kids Clubhouse is a free “drop-in” program, meaning that participants do not need to come every day – but are certainly welcome to – and do not need to stay for the whole time! Youth can come and leave whenever is best for them or their guardians, as long as staff are notified of how kids will be getting home. (Our detailed check-in/check-out policies and agreements are in the registration form.)

We are happy to work with caretakers on pick-up/drop-off arrangements.

How do I sign up?

To participate, simply bring the young person(s) to any Kids Clubhouse site, fill out a registration form on the spot, and you’re good to go! If you’d like to print and complete the form in advance, you can download it and bring it with you. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call or email!

Please don’t email registration forms, but bring us a physical copy!

Will my child be able to eat while at Kids Clubhouse?

Yes! Through our partnership with the Missoula Food Bank, Kids Clubhouse participants get healthy snacks and a meal during program hours. We are an open-meal site, so school-aged youth are welcome to stop by, grab food, and take off!

Covid-19 Safety Protocols for Families, Youth, and Staff!

Do not come if you are sick or have been exposed to COVID!

Upon arrival, youth and guardian (if present) will complete a health assessment. If guardian is not present, we will ask the child the screening questions.

If a child has fever,  is showing symptoms, reports a recent illness, or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID, they should not come to Kids Clubhouse and will be sent home.

At this time, youth and Mentors are not required to wear masks but (of course) are welcome to do so!
