Get Involved

From affordable housing development to community organizing, NMCDC is truly a community-led organization that could not exist without the participation of neighbors who care about their community as much as we do. There are lots of ways to get involved!

Whether it’s $5 (the price of a popcorn & drink at Outdoor Cinema) or $300,000 (the average subsidy for land acquisition to the Community Land Trust), your generosity supports NMCDC in its work towards our vision of healthy and thriving neighborhoods. Please consider making a one-time or recurring donation to support our efforts of building affordable housing and a stronger community!

Volunteer

The NMCDC helps facilitate programs that make our community better – and we can’t do this without neighbors who want to take ownership and make the dream work. Some opportunities to get involved include:

  • Take tickets or run concessions at Missoula Outdoor Cinema
  • Share your support for affordable housing and equitable neighborhood infrastructure with local government.
  • Host NMCDC for a presentation with your neighbors, organization, students, investors, etc.
  • Host a skill-building/property maintenance workshop for our homeowners.
  • And more!

Become a Board Member

The NMCDC brings together a dedicated group of Missoula citizens to forward the health and vitality of the Northside and Westside neighborhoods. Board responsibilities include attending once a month board meetings, volunteering at occasional fundraising events, and supporting the NMCDC with your unique strengths, whatever they may be (bookkeeping, design, marketing, fundraising, community engagement, etc.).

Our board is made up of Land Trust home owners from each of our properties, community leaders, and neighbors. Learn more about our current board.

If you are interested in learning more about or joining our board, contact our Executive Director, Brittany Palmer, or fill out the form below.
