The North-Missoula Community Development Corporation (NMCDC) is redeveloping property at 503 E. Front St., Missoula, Montana to provide homeownership opportunity for low and moderate income individuals in Missoula’s downtown neighborhood. The site is a 14,000 square foot lot that is currently occupied by a 9-unit residential structure.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) conducted a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment of the property identifying asbestos, lead based paint (LBP), and one mercury thermostat as materials of concern. The asbestos must be abated prior to deconstruction of the building. In addition, the LBP items must be characterized to determine if they should be disposed of as a Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) hazardous waste.
The NMCDC is seeking the services of an asbestos consultant to provide project management, asbestos inspection and sampling, LBP sampling, bid document preparation, asbestos clearance sampling, and reporting. The attachments referenced in the RFP are linked below:
