Real Meal Participants: Hard at Work

What is Real Meals?

Real Meals is a participant-driven cooking and nutrition workshop series intended to help families gain skills and knowledge that will help them get more nutritional bang for their buck.  Recipes from previous classes can be found here.

On the third Tuesday of each month, we host a free cooking workshop in the kitchen at 1500 Burns Street (also the home of the Burns Street Bistro).

Child care is included, and participants are sent home with recipes and leftovers.

This program is funded, in part, by:  Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana!

The next Real Meals will be held on Tuesday, April 16th, 2018 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the Missoula Food Bank. This month, the class will be led by Ammar Omar, a community member who resettled here from Iraq in 2017. Ammar will be leading us in cooking laham ajeen, which is a flatbread with ground beef and vegetables. This month’s class is brought to you with help from our friends at Soft Landing Missoula!
